Define the experience you want
Decide whether your priority is rest, movement, a structured routine or a quieter setting. Compare actual schedules rather than programme names alone. Ask for a sample day, how much time is guided and whether activities are optional. Consider whether the pace, group size and setting fit you and anyone travelling with you.
Separate the room from the programme
Request the room category and a written list of meals, activities, consultations and transfers included in the package. Ask about extra session charges, private appointments, laundry, taxes and companion fees. Compare arrival and departure days carefully: a seven-night stay does not necessarily include seven full programme days.
Check suitability and access
Tell the centre about practical access needs before booking, such as step-free access, bathroom arrangements or dietary requirements. If you have a health condition or are receiving treatment, discuss suitability with your clinician and ask what information the centre requires. Wellness is not a substitute for medical assessment or ongoing treatment. Ask what support is available if you become unwell during the stay.
Understand the people and support
Ask who leads the activities, what qualifications are relevant to their role and whether individual sessions are available. Clarify the difference between a wellness activity and a medical consultation. Confirm the languages used during sessions and how to contact staff outside scheduled activities. Request details in writing if a particular service is central to your decision.
Book with clear expectations
Read cancellation, date-change and early-departure terms. Confirm check-in times, transfers and any preparation the centre requests. Keep a copy of the agreed itinerary and cost breakdown. After the stay, choose routines that fit your everyday life rather than assuming a short programme guarantees lasting results.
