Confirm care before booking the trip

Obtain the provider’s appointment confirmation and ask which assessments are still needed. Discuss your intended travel dates with the treating team before buying inflexible tickets. A travel plan must fit the care plan, including any follow-up before departure. Do not use a generic website timeline as personal clearance to fly.

Verify entry and document requirements

Requirements vary with nationality, destination and purpose of travel. Check the relevant government or consular instructions and ask the hospital which invitation or appointment documents it can provide. Confirm passport validity, any companion requirements and how extensions are handled. Assistance with paperwork is not a guarantee that a visa will be issued.

Prepare the practical details

Keep the hospital address, local contact, arrival transfer and accommodation confirmation together. Ask about accessibility, distance to the hospital, meals and companion arrangements. Confirm language support and its cost before arrival. Keep secure copies of documents and share health information only through the agreed secure process; the first inquiry needs only a brief description.

Agree on the return plan

Ask the treating team for advice on travel timing, medicines, discharge documents and follow-up. Arrange how to contact the provider after returning home and how records can be shared with your usual clinician. Confirm any follow-up fees and whether remote consultations are available for your location.

Keep one organised travel folder

Include appointment confirmation, provider contacts, visa and travel documents, estimates and receipts, accommodation details and the agreed follow-up plan. Confirm medication transport rules through the relevant authorities. For urgent symptoms or an emergency, use local emergency services rather than waiting for a website inquiry response.

Continue planning

Discuss your care plans

Include your country code. For example, +91 for India or +1 for the US.No medical reports or detailed medical history needed.A free estimate request. The provider confirms the scope and costs after review.
